A new cell phone policy for Hampton High School was recommended and approved by the Hampton School Board at the August 16, 2022 meeting
The new policy will take effect Monday, August 22, 2022
Cell phones or other smart/Bluetooth devices may not be used at any time during the school day. The school day begins once a student arrives on campus and ends at 3:05 pm. Students can have a device in their possession, however, such devices must be put away (out of sight) and turned off at all times. Students may use their cell phones and other devices after the 3:05 bell and at after school extra-curricular activities at the discretion of the coach/sponsor.
This policy will have medical exemptions for students who access their phones for medical use.
